Special Olympics Family Network aims to raise the awareness of parents towards the social and all-round development of people with intellectual disabilities. Parents will have the opportunity to participate in various sports events and activities organized by Special Olympics Hong Kong through this program. Parents will also form cheering teams to support athletes during overseas competitions and greeting parties to welcome the triumphant return of the athletes at the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To encourage participation, Family Network not only holds local seminars, but also sends members to attend international parents\u2019 conferences to help parents to better understand the mission and belief of Special Olympics, as well as exchange their experiences with overseas members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family Health Forums were organized in the past few years providing health information and free health screening services to athletes and parents so as to encourage them to do more fitness exercise. Click here<\/a> to join to get more information about related activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
