The ‘2025 Special Olympics Winter World Games’ (SOWWG) will be held in Italy in March 2025, Special
Olympics Hong Kong will send a team to participate in 3 sports events. In order to deepen public understanding
of the Special Olympics and promote sports for people with intellectual disabilities (ID), this ornament design
competition will invite people with ID, their caregivers and the general public to participate. This will promote
social inclusion and allow team members to feel supported by the public. Our Association will invite
representatives of the 2025 SOWWG delegation to serve as the judging panel, and the winning designs will be
made into ornaments, turning support into action. These ornaments will be given as an encouragement and
gifts to the team members, who will bring them to the competition venue, to exchange and interact with
participants from all over the world.
